Breast Exam
Introduction: Introduce yourself and explain what you will be doing +/- ask for chaperone.
1) Vitals: Ask for the Vitals.
2) General Inspection of the Patient.
1) Inspection: hands on side, behind head, on waist

Look for Masses, Scars, Skin changes, peau d’orange, dimpling
-
Nipple retraction & Pagets disease
-
Breast, Size, symmetry and Contour
-
Nipple: Pigmentation, discharge, shape, ulcers
-
Skin color, edema, venous pattern
2) Palpation:
-
All quadrants, nipple and axillary tails for for tenderness and masses (comment on the size, shape, consistency, mobility, number and tenderness).
-
Axillary, Supraclavicular & infraclavicular LNs
3) Ausculation: Listen to the Lungs
